I can't say I had the pleasure of knowing Charles Lewis, Jr (aka Mask) personally. But I know what he meant to the sport of MMA. Mask, along with PunkAss and SkyScrape were the personalities that not only built an empire around MMA but turned into staples.
As it's been reported, Mask is now gone. As a way of paying tribute to him and showing support to PunkAss, SkyScrape and fellow MMA fans/fighters, I'm proposing we all wear our TapOut gear this Friday. I don't care if you're an Investment Banker that's usually a suit wearing breifcase totting executive, or if you're a fighter, wear your TapOut gear and show your support.
Pass this post around. Spread the word. Join me!
I also encourage you to go leave a comment at TapOut.com -

this is a great idea. thanks for doing this

Charles "Mask" Lewis, was, is and always will be the front runner in the mma clothing world. It what he did outside of that is what he needs to remebered for the most, the support of mma fighters, and in the community. A lot of fighters where able to keep fighting because of the support TapOut had given to them. Charles was very giving person, it is sad to see we lost another great Soldier!

I love Volkswagen's Beetles very much. I think that this advertisement was extremely curious for that time.

"I sought to show the changing balance of planes - from anti-ship torpedo and dive bombers in the early days when the main objective was destroying other ships - to fighter planes, whose main job was to defend against the kamikazes in the final months."
Max, Midway is pretty much the final act of anti-ship carrier warfare, right? If you follow Keegan and Churchill, it's the critical turning point in the Pacfic war - there's a wonderfully readable description of Midway in Keegan's The Price of Admiralty.
